Ali Tabb is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Ali has worked with children, adolescents and families in mental health and social work service provision since 2012. Ali recognizes the immense pain families experience when dealing with challenges such as trauma, high family conflict, and abuse, and she is committed to supporting families on their journey to healthier living. Ali also supports clients struggling with anxiety, depression, interpersonal trauma, behavioral issues, preoccupation with screens (phones, tablets/laptops), teen/parent relationship issues and adolescents with harmful sexual behaviors. Ali's therapeutic foundation for all clients rests on attachment theory, family systems theory, developmental and neuroscientific theory, acceptance and commitment therapy, and trauma-informed practice. She encourages clients to engage in holistic healing by incorporating mindfulness and somatic awareness skill development in addition to development of insight as levers for change. She completed advanced trainings for climate aware therapy, EMDR and narrative family therapy.
She received her Masters degree from the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago in 2014. Ali has worked in both inpatient/residential programs and outpatient treatment settings using a trauma-informed approach. Ali is also a Credentialed Sexually Abusive Youth Clinician and has worked with this population since 2016.
